An architectural idea can begin at the scale of a room and continue in the curve of an object. Studio Etienne Bastormagi moves between these scales, exploring how material, proportion and use influence the way people inhabit a place. The collaboration follows those connections across the settings in which the studio’s work is encountered. A website, a publication or an installation becomes a way of moving through its thinking, allowing objects and spaces to be read alongside one another. Architecture, editorial work and art direction enter an ongoing conversation, revealing the relationships between projects and giving an evolving practice room to express its different directions.
