Collectif Vent d’Ouest

Collectif Vent d’Ouest creates gardens that are meant to disappear. In Angers, landscape designers, artists, students and residents come together to transform a place, exchanging knowledge through the act of making. When the garden is dismantled, the skills and relationships formed around it can continue to grow. The achene in the collective’s identity offers an image of this exchange: a seed carried by the wind, travelling beyond the place it began. It becomes a way of imagining how ideas move between people and take root elsewhere. The website extends this story, bringing temporary gardens, workshops and their participants into a shared record of an evolving practice.
